i have seen SS's with black rims.... are these manufactored?? whats story on these?? i would like some they look good

 

If you're talking about the zr1 style rims then they may be rims off of a grand sport corvette.

 

yeah, powder coated, i've seen prices ranging anywhere from 35-100 per wheel to get them done. I want to do mine this spring, but I havent found anyone local who will do it.

 

What you've seen are 1996 Corvette Grand Sport wheels. I had a set on my 2000 Z28 that I bought from a dealer. The prices keep going up.... from Dal I paid about $326.00 each, but I imagine due to supply & demand, that price has gone up.

i might be buying 2k vette rims 17x9 front and 18x10.5 rear... i was just thinking they be sweet black on my mystic green car.... IMO but the SS/zr1 style look damn good... if i get them i am considering it too...

 

AFS sells those rims for what, cloes to 1k?
I really want a set, but the price is too rich for my blood right now...
