black piece on the back off SS's

What is that black piece between the tail lights called? I belive it comes with the SS Camaros. Also is that for all 4th gens and where can one be obtained?

the thing that says "camaro" on it is the berger or filler panel.

It's black because it's painted that way.

it is the taillight filler panel. it is only referred to as a Berger panel when it is painted black like the ones found on the actual Berger SS Camaros.

As stated above, also one thing to add, they're universal to all 4th gens, 93-96 and 97-02.

If you really insist on doing the heavily-overdone-berger-mod-which-is-getting-old-cause-thousands-of-camaros-have-done-it-already mod... (

) then check junkyards or look for a used part on here. I know there's quite a few people that have them for sale, as I was looking at getting a replacement for my filler panel awhile back and put a thread up in the Wanted section and got a few replies. The "Berger Panels" are just regular panels painted flat black. Some people do semi-gloss or just use a factory black filler panel as a "Berger." If you want to do it yourself and not have it be glossy, just buy any panel, sand and scuff, primer, and then paint it.

Where I live I havent seen one with it so it wont be a heavily-overdone-berger-mod-which-is-getting-old-cause-thousands-of-camaros-have-done-it-already mod as it is in the States. It seems like a simple mod. I thought you had to buy something unique or special.

Lmao that's true, I forgot you're in Bahrain. I'm sure there's not FBodies driving around in Bahrain as there are in Detroit, lol. I can't drive anywhere without seeing atleast a handful. Which reminds me, I gotta PM a guy on here and tell him I saw him driving around tonight. But nah, it's as simple as it looks... just a regular filler panel, painted black. Some people smooth the "Camaro" out, or add retro/aftermarket emblems, but otherwise it's just the same filler panel painted black.

Yeah I'm starting to dislike the Berger panel on just about any Z28 or SS.......it's cool if it belongs there, but the look is starting to get old when every guy and his mother puts it on their ordinary Z28.

Hey, I never cared for it to begin with. If I bought a car with one, I'd probably get rid of it.
