Black Painted Wheels, 95 Green Firebird (Pics)
A few folks have asked what black wheels would look like on their cars. Since I just finished mine last week, I thought I'd post some pics. Although this car has a way to go before it's where I want it, I bit the bullet (no plasti-dip testing) and sanded off the old finish and went with a low-gloss/matte black engine enamel (hi-temp) paint over gray primer. Also did after putting in new slotted/drilled rotors and painting calipers (black).
After blacking out the signals, fogs, and markers (left tail-lights alone for now), I'm pretty happy with the progress. Long-term, I plan to paint the car a lighter color and move most likely to black wheels w/ chrome lip. Anyway, pics below.

It looks good. I have a 95 z28 the same color. I bought some zr1 wheels last year and sandblasted them down to metal and am trying to decide what color I want to go with. My thought right now is a gun metal

When you tinted all your markers did it ruin visibility? I am thinking about doing it on my white 97.
