Does anyone have either black painted salad shooters or black painted 16" 5 spoke wheels. I was looking for something different than the stock salad shooters while staying on a budget.
Im not sure If black wheels will look trashy or look good on my car. Here's a pic

 

SLP sells 5 spoke wheels from the firebirds for $50 each. They look OK on my Z, better than the salad shooters, easier to keep clean etc. and if you want to paint them black, at least you're not messin' up an expensive set of wheels

 

Yea thats what I was thinkin, plus when I got my car the salad shooters had almost new tires so that puts the cost down.

i dont think black salad shooters will llok good in my opinion but try out the 5 spokes, i think it will look good because of the contrasting roof

 

Yea definetly forget about the salad shooters. if i had to choose, it would be a no brainer...get the 5 spokes..

Id really like to see those pu12en12g. The more I think about it the cooler they seem. I think im gonna be getting some Trans Am 5 spokes and leave them silver and get some tires for em. Then Ill paint the spokes on my salad shooters black, and leave the lip silver and leave the center silver. If it looks really bad I can put the 5 spokes on, or switch em back and forth.

 

I think you should try it with the 5 spokes. It probably won't look bad at all and won't cost you much

 

Yea the black 5 spokes will probaly look pretty nice but the thing is, I know the 5 spokes look good in silver, and the shooters just look ok in silver. If I paint the 5 spokes black and for some reason it looks crappy then ill be stuck with crappy 5 spokes AND boring salad shooters. This is what makes me think id rather experiment with the salad shooters. I like the pic that was posted of the white car w/ black shooters but id like to see some better pics.

Those rims are nice!

I personally dont care for the wing or the mufflers on that car, but the rims are awesome!

 

I powder coated my 97 five stars, and they looked really nice on the red camaro..... i did the whole thing, rims and powder coating for under 400 so it was decent..... good luck
