big rims
Ok, I have a 94Z and i am currently rebuilding the driveline....but, i am planning ahead, so i am looking at body kits and rims i might want for it. Herein the problem lies...Does anyone make 20 x 13" rims and 20 x 11" rims in a camaro offset??????? I have looked semi-extensively, and i like the look of 20's on a lowered Z, but the best i can find is Torq Thrust II's in 20 x 10's. Does anyone know if American Racing would be willing to make custom one-off 20 x 13's, etc??? My reasoning behind this is that i am shooting for a decent amount of horsepower, so i want decent traction in the rear, i was thinking along the lines of 345 rubber in the rear. But i also want some decent stopping traction with those 150mph+ speeds, so i was thinking 11 inch wide wheels on front with 315 rubber. I also think this setup would provide more than enough traction to pull some nice lateral g's around turns. Please, any advice/help would be greatly appreciated, I would LOVE if anyone knew where i could find some 20" x 13" rims in a camaro offset!!!!!!! thanx...

For the right money there is ALWAYS someone that will make whatever you want, but do you really wanna spend upwards of 5k a wheel?
I' rememeber the vette racing ones too, I think they were 18's
and really, I think any bigger doesnt fit with a camaro.

i was looking at getting a set of 20x12's and i think you can get a 335 for them also from michelin.
iForged makes a 20x12 in the Aero wheel. but they are like 1300 a wheel and they are about 800-1000 dollars for each tire. so your looking at up to 4600 just for your rear wheel setup. that is why i decided against it. still might go 20's just not that wide. my 18 inch TT2's just arent big enough

thanx guys, i kinda like the iforged areo wheel, i see they have em in 19 x 13 also for $1300, i dont know what i am getting yet, HRE has a cleen five spoke in 20 x 13, which might as well be an arm and a leg at $2000 a piece, but i dont know what i will end up with, I am just doing my homework, so to say, at this point. Thanks for the tips guys, like i said, much appreciated...

OK, here is the thing, one guy said that you can fit 345 tires on a 12 inch rim. My question, is this possible? Did some calculations...345 millimeters is equal to 13.5827 inches. The sidewall on a 345/25-20 tire is 3.4 inches. So, the question is, can 0.79" hang off of each side of a 12 inch wide wheel with a 3.4" tall sidewall??? any input or further knowledge would be very much appreciated....

as far as i know nobody makes that size of tire. you can get a 335 for a 20 inch but not in the US it is sold in europe. if you went with the 19x13 then you would be able to fit a 345 and michelin actually makes them they are for the viper. i wouldnt put a 345 on a 12 inch with that low profile.

a 345/25ZR20 is available !

and btw, a 345 will not fit under a f-body without mini-tubbing it !

tubbing is no problem, well, mini-tubbing will be no problem, and yeah, had already looked up the tires, and from what i understand, the PZero series was developed for the Ferrari Enzo, so i am guessing that overall performance is good. Still no answer on whether you can have .79" of rubber hangin over each side of a 12 inch wide wheel, in which the sidewall ( or profile) of the tire is 3.4". I honestly wouldnt know who else to ask other than you guys on here, cuz the last thing i want to do is ask some flunky at a service station or tire distributor and have them give me the wrong answer, cuz they have never heard of a setup like that, or something to that effect. So anyway, anyone know if that will work, or should i just forget about squeezing a 345 tire on a 12 inch rim? Any decisive input would be awsome!!
thanx again guys

nevermind guys, i am an idot, should have just looked at the tire specifications on tirerack....supposedly, those 345/25-20's will actually fit on any 20" rim, varying in width from 11-13.5". Disreguard the last post i guess, i also read all the comments from customers on the tire. Pretty much, most people say the handling is fantastic, some complain about wet traction, but others say wet traction is superb....but...snow traction sucks, and basically dont expect the tires to last more than 10k miles. Anyone know if any other company makes 345/25-20's????!!!
