Better headlights?
Well we all know that the Camro headlights SUCK! I recently put better bulbs in my Camaro and it helped a bit...I think they need aiming or something though. ANYWAYS somewhere I heard of poeple putting high beam bulbs in all of the headlights? Have any of you done this? How do other drivers react to this? Thanks

Well I was sick and tired of needing to squink at night to see the road... I looked like gran-ma driving!
Anyways I installed the hyper blue bulbs (sylvana) and noticed quite a difference but it still sucks the lights were to focused on one point, so I had them aimed for damn $30 canadian bucks!!! OMG! oh well! But now they seem to light up the road like a normal vehicle! As soon as I can find a digi camera ill get some pics of my new decal job up!

I don't know about the earlier 4th gens, but my 98 takes 9005/9006 bulbs.
I have installed the high beams in the low side, but I wouldn't recommend it. The power difference between the 2 is only 10 watts. The dark tip of the low beam bulb is a much bigger factor between the 2 than the wattage. I think it keeps glare down for oncoming drivers.
Anyway, I Dremeled out the guide tooth inside the high beam bulb that was keeping the low beam plug from going in. That allowed everything to plug in and the bulbs screwed in as normal.
The problem came in town. There was no difference at all between high and low beams. Signs glared at me, the road right in front of the car wasn't lit well, and everyone flashed at me for blinding them.
Just get some 80w lows with some 100w highs. Also, if all 4 headlights on your car don't light with the high beams, mod it so they do. I have done this on 3 vehicles so far and the combo works execellent.
Good luck
Dave
