best stripes on SS hood

best stripes on SS hood

I'll be putting stripes on my SS hood for my 88 and was wondering what people are using. Obviously 4th gen pictures are welcome, but if you have some 3rd gens with SS hood/stripes post them up. I'm thinking something like

Always liked the checkered look

I dont think 35th stripes look good on 3rd gens. It just doesnt have the nice curves to pull it off but thats just me

hey that's my car! lol I just posted some pics of the engine in this forum.

Oh and yeah checker are nice but on 3rd gens is really hit or miss. Now if you do them like mine but solid with a pinstripe going done each side of each stripe...that would look better! Even better still extend the stripes so that each covers a portion of the hood scoop! something like this:

I didn't steal your pictures They look really nice on your car. The solid ones look good too. I might be forgetting the whole strip idea, as i might be going with a heavy metallic orange or blue and i think it would look good without any stripes, but we'll see.

Thanks! and if you get blue you can do silver or Ghost stripes with either one! Good luck and post up pics when done
