I was just wanting to know everyone's opinion on after market hoods. What do you guys think is the best out there? And does a cold air kit take in more air than an functional ss hood for a 1997 camaro?

 

I think the ultra-z is your best bet, and yes a front mounted direct intake will perform slightly better.

 

Personally I like the ram-air II hood the best. I know alot of people dont like em whatever suck my b*lls. And I hate the Ultra Z hood I think thats the ugliest one. If you're gonna get that might as well buy a SS hood, I think the SS hood looks a million times better than an Ultra Z
