Bad paint, or that's life?

I recently had my front end re-painted. After about 2 weeks of daily driving I can already see chipped paint all over the front cover (small rock chips) . I have seen plenty of other camaros/birds with nice front ends.

Question:

Did the body shop not paint the front end properly?

Or...

Did I just get stuck behind the wrong 18-wheelers too many times?

IMO, the front needs to be repainted already! It sure does not look like it was painted only 2 weeks ago . I thought the paint could take a little more abuse than I've had a chance to give it...I will definitely be trying out this after it is painted again :

I would say bad paint job. Maybe they didn't prep it right?

I had the nose repainted on a 96 Buick Regal once that did the same thing, and the paint guy even admitted it needed to be redone. He didn't want me saying that he had painted it until it was fixed right.

I know what you're talking about. Something wasn't done right and the paint job should be redone. It should be as durable as factory paint. Don't take any of their crap or lies about not being able to do it or it's normal wear.

Unless your drafting semi's on a gravel road, you got a bad paint job. Take it back.

Thanks for the input.

I took it back and they said that it was prepped properly, rock chips are part of life, etc. I am going to take it to an unbiased shop and see what they say. If they say what you guys are saying (and what I'm thinking), I'm going to be pretty disappointed with the shop that did the work!

Maybe you could take legal action

Don't they warranty their work?

You could definately report them to the BBB
