There will be a fire extinguisher on each of the a-pillars - I had some custom brackets made up so they would hang right there without moving...but here's the catch...since I am gonna be street racing a lot, I am going to empty out the fire extinguishers for weight reduction. That junk inside of 'em weighs too much. They are these black chrome ones.

A front wheel drive conversion is stupid. This thing is a Camaro man, not a Honda.

Just think of the weight you could save with smaller rear wheels! It'd probably work great with that wing.

Well, I thought about 14" wheels - and was going to get them - but the more I think about it - the more I think 20x7. I can save some weight by keeping them narrow...and it won't hurt nothing. I don't see the point with 11" wide wheels...just throw some 315's on my 20X7's and I'll be good to go.

Best of luck with that. It's not recommended to put 315's on anything less than 11" rim. So now we know your yankin' our chain.

But hey, if you stay stoned or drunk long enough to get all this done before you snap to your senses, I'd love to see pics of "The Beast" (I almost got that out without laughing).

Good luck!

I didn't know that...I figured you just picked out the size tire you wanted and the wheels, and as long as the diamater was the same you was good. How wide of a tire do you think I could fit on those 7" wide wheels? 265's?

Re: Is this an awesome setup or what!

stock rims on a z are 16x8 (correct me if i'm wrong folks). the tire size is 245/50/16. so i don't know what the max width would be for a 7" wide tire. but i will say one thing: a 7" wide tire on an f-body will be crappy for performance and for looks. the f-body is a wide low car with greatly handling but putting such narrow rubber under a camaro ain't gonna be good.

in all seriousness though, you're only kidding about this 'project' right?

I had to check what site I was on when I was reading this! You and your little homies would love it. Maybe you can get those 13 year olds in the car now. Dont lower it too much, it would make it hard to see around the dingleballs hanging from the headliner.
