Appearance Hoods, spoilers, custom mods, accessories, etc.

Awaiting Heads so in the meantime I painted my Manifold.. What do you guys think?

Awaiting Heads so in the meantime I painted my Manifold.. What do you guys think?

I did it with some Tape and paper towels.. Came out nice.. Alot better than it was!!! I used Plasti Kote Engine paint good to 500F. Think ill be ok?

Not too shabby, but make sure you clear coat it, to both protect it and shine it up a bit!

Clear it? I didnt know i had to? Wont the clear peel off with heat?

Not if you use the Same Hight Temp Clear Engine Enamel. I would also definately recomend it.

I like it without the clear coat on it. I like the dull look that it has. I think it looks great the way it is.

dude, do you have a quick write up you can post. I wanted to do the same thing with my manifold while its off and I'm waiting for my headers to finish the project

might i ask why you need a write up on such a thing? You clean, mask and paint. How hard is that?

Definetly clear coat it! Over time with the elements alone would cause it to peel. Don't let all the hard work go down the drain, besides they have dull clear coat paints as well.

well, write up wasnt a good word choice. I would need to know what he did to clean it, since the manifold is pretty dirty/greasy, exact paint and primer. was it sanded before etc
