are ascd hoods crap?
are ascd hoods crap?
i am getting a cowl hood and i was looking at the ascd cowl hood. i am hearing that they dont fit right. has anyone had any 1st hand problems with them or does anyone have pics with the hood on. would the vfn cowl hood be my better bet. i would like to know before i spend my money. thanks
It has been my experience that almost EVERY aftermarket hood will require some work to make them fit. It's just the nature of the beast. If it makes you feel any better...I got an original GM SS hood for my car...and when I test fit it...even IT needed a little work to look perfect.
Go figure.

It all depends on the car...if the car is straight then it shouldn't be much work to get the hood to line up correctly...I just put a Suncoast SS hood on my car and it took no work to get it to fit on the car and close and stuff, and only took a few minutes to get it to line up perfect...
Down here we mostly use Suncoast.... but that's because the warehouse is a 10 minute drive from my house
Either way, post pix once you get it.
We took the hood off my dad's old Silverado to replace the hinges, and it took half an hour to get it realigned.
