Anyway to adjust a convertible top?
I have tried everything and yet my top still leaks, I was wondering is their anyway to actually adjust the position of the top? I think if I was able to shift it towards the passenger side just a little it may stop the leak.
Thanks for the help.

Where's the leak from?
*twitch*
Now that I bought my Helm's manuals for $30... I betcha I can find the procedure in there to do it!
Give me more details and I'll see what I can dig up

Re: Anyway to adjust a convertible top?
The most common cause of the side window leaking is that the window does not make contact with the top seal. If you can slide a piece of paper between the seal and the window it's out of adjustment. The window is multi-adjustable, up/down, in/out, tilt, etc.
The other common cause is that the seals are old and have gotten hard or shrunk.
If you've run out of window adjustment then you'll have to replace the seals.
If you treat your seals with dia-electic type silicone grease, a very light coat, they will last longer and seal better.
At least yours is on the passengers side. I get soaked every time it rains. To lazy to fix it!

Re: Anyway to adjust a convertible top?
You just need to adjust the tilt of the window so that its in contact with the rubber. Im not sure how exactly but you would take off the door pannel and do the adjusting accordingly. I have to do this too buy have been putting it off.
Z28SORR basicly says it all, but do not use silicone grease! All that does is leave grease on your windows while the rubber dryes out from the cheap oil. Use a good vinyl and rubber protectant such as 303 Aerospace Protectant. Do not use Armor All or any other silicone based "protectant".
