For anyone thinking about a black tail panel (ZL1 Style)

Its been discussed here alot about the correct colors, sheen, etc. I remember one of the members saying its just good old Bumper Black. Just wanted to let everyone know that the Bumper Black works and looks great. I did mine today, plus you can get the stuff at Walmart for about 5 bucks. Just thought I'd chip in my experience.

Yeah thats what i used on mine. It does look good and all but when i went to the Speed Inc open house earlier this month they had one and it had more of a glossy look to it and i think it looked better than mine. Im gonna repaint mine with a glossier paint pretty soon.

I really like the flat myself, but thats me. As far as pictures, I need to get a card reader, then I'll see what I can do.

I see you shaved the CAMARO of the filler panel too I think that looks great, when I did mine I shaved the key hole too. It seemed a little out of place to leave it. I was thinking of Getting a Gas cap from a 67 or 68 and Mounting it to the panel so it would have a retro look

Looks nice! I still can't figure out why no one shaves the lock hole though. Do you know what kind of black that is? I used bumper black on mine and I'm not real sure it's the right shade I'm lookin for.
