Anyone have that Stonegard chip protection film on their camaro?

I have a 93 Z28 that I just bought. It has 25k original miles and there's not a chip/scratch/etc. on it. Unbelievably clean. I've heard about this stonegard film that you can put on the bumpers and hood (and other places as well). Does anyone have it? Can I get it for this series of Camaro? Thanks.

I wanna know too. My poor 97Z is getting torn up by rock chips and I'm not gonna have it happen again when I repaint.

And not bras either

Here's the kit for a 93-97:

It's about $500 bucks just for the kit-not sure how much for installation.

From what I've heard, the stuff works really well, but over time it will become brittle (start chipping/cracking) and turn yellow.

dont buy it...

ive talked to a guy who builds kit cobras and his paintjobs for them are the best in the nation... he painted my bosses and he wins every competition so im sure this guy knows what hes talking about...anyway...

i saw on his cobra he had those gaurds on it and asked how he liked em.. he said they suck... and if you put on wrong and try to peel up most times will actually ruin or peel up the paint... his suggestion was to go to a decal shop and just buy some sheets of clear vinal which is static cling... cut em yourself and put them on...

it was the stuff he had on and it was barely noticable and he swore by it being just as good... plus its dirt cheap and starts getting nasty just take off and put more on...

personally havent bothered trying yet but sounds like a good idea
