I made the hvac, light, and speedo overlays myself. Just photoshopped my stock overlay to different colors and printed them. I just printed them on photopaper and that turned out good except that the light shined through weird. I'm going to print them on 2 layers of transparencys soon and see how the light comes through then. Either that or bite the bullet and buy macewen overlays.

If you take off the stock light and hvac overlays (just glued on) you can see how the light shines through behind them. It shines in an arc and that's how it will light up your new overlay, unless you put your new overlay over the top of the stock overlay (I doubt any light will shine through at all). I used glossy photo paper and lamanated it. If you understand the transparency paper theory I got, I would try that and see how it lights up for you. I can send you the files of my overlays so all you'd have to do is print them off. Just give me an email. There is also a guy on ebay selling various types of overlays for the hvac and lights that are made out of plastic. I was thinking of trying those out. The light would shine through just like stock with those.

ya i bought a pair of theose overlays on ebay. they where the ZO6 ones for the HVAC and healights. I got them for $10 and then the guy emailed and told me it would be another $10 to ship them so I told him forget it. All he has to do is put them in an envolope with a stamp on it and he wants $10 to ship paper to me. Ya right.

I was stupid enough to buy the ones off of Ebay. DONT DO IT. The light doesn't shine through. All this guy does is use printer paper ( maybe photo paper ) and print it out and then laminate it. They are POS. The guy on Ebay paid 1.70 to ship me mine but he charged me 10.00 S$H I e-mailed him and said they were not a good product. All he did was get rude with me. That sucks because he had other stuff for sale that I was going to buy. Oh well.
Does anybody have a web sight for MACEWEN? I have never heard of them. Are their products good? I am still in the market for quality white face HVAC and headlight switch overlays.

MACEWEN, is a great company to get overlays from. I was one of the first few people to get some for my 91z when he first started out and I loved the quality of them then. here is a link to his site
