Anyone ever paint over chrome?

Anyone ever paint over chrome?

Wondering what pre needs to be done to get it to stay and what type of paint to use??????????????/

you can't paint over chrome. It will flake off

Depending on what it is you want to paint you can either sand blast or sand off the chrome first then prime and paint.

thats if you can even get it to stick...... dont try it....you will just upset yourself... there is lots of prep work that goes into something polished when you want to paint over it...

Done it plenty of times... Scuff it and paint it, not a big deal.

I agree with the scuff & paint. The hardest surface to paint over is stainless
steel, but even that you can do with a good scuff, and some acid. Primer is
a must for either. I have painted over chrome, the results are good. But it is
true that it may peel sooner then a non-chrome surface.
