Anyone done this?

Has anyone removed the side moldings on a 95 or older Camaro/firebird?
I want to do it but I'm worried I might mess up the paint removing them...

Re: Anyone done this?

I have. You can see pics on my website (link in the sig).

I didn't have any problems. I basically pulled them off on a nice warm sunny day. A few people have taken hair dryers to the molding just to warm up the glue. You can use bug and tar remover to get the residual glue off.

As long as your car hasn't been repainted, you should have no problem!

Ernster...that has got to be one of the cleanest black camaro's I've seen in a while. Those photos really show off that mirror finish you got going on! VERY nice.
