You could use a piece of textured abs sheet, its available in various thicknesses

AC controls? who uses those? i have no HVAC haha, no heater, no AC, no fan motor....

ive been working on making one today out of a piece of 22 guage steel i had laying around. Just need to mark the spots to put the guages in, made a template earlier and everything was slightly too far to the right. Im a perfectionist, so it might take me a few tries

also, how the hell did you fit 3 up there? I want to fit three, but ive got the plate mounted in the car, and am sketching it with pencil, the third one (closest to passenger side) hits the dash.

I used a dremel and trimmied the dash to clear the one on the right. If you do it slowly you can make it fit perfect.

well, got the guages mounted, just need to paint the panel before i take any picture for ya guys.

was making the guage panel for my car, hole saw bit into the metal too much and ripped the metal from the clamps. Helicoptered and sliced my hand decently. Four stitches, and lesson learned. I came back home and finished my panel though. Dang $10 panel cost me an extra 20 at the doctors today, for that i coulda got it made at a shop, not to mention i had to hammer the panel back to get the dent out of it from where it helicoptered lol. Going to fill primer it and sand it flat then paint it satin black

I decided to just mount 2 gauges in that spot. I moved the HVAC controls to the casette tape holder area and made a cover for it. I'm not sure I'm happy with the HVAC cover panel, I might still redo it again.Name: DSC01806.jpg
