I don't think they stretched the chassis at all, so I bet it works just fine.

Not sure where exactly its extended though. The reasoning was, that you can use any original 1st gen body panel without modification(to the panel)

It really does look like a Corvair being driven backward. I've seen these before, and just like Brangeta, I hate the way the windshield looks in relation to the first gen bodywork.

yeah those retro rod on a modern chassis cars look weird. There is a company that does 49-51 fords on 89-97 tbird chassis too.







even the avanti went to a firebird chassis in the late 90s or early 2000s and looks out of place

i think the red convertible corvette in post 20 above with top down is real nice and the dark red one right above this post looks good to. has a newer style jaguar lookin rear end

+1 on the red C2 looking amazing. If only it had side pipes it'd be perfect imho. Has anyone seen a C3 conversion like this? I feel like I've seen it online somewhere but i cant find it.
