Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I bought my Lingenfelter CAI system about a month ago and just installed it. It is performing fine but when I shut my hood it is hitting on the bottom and my hood is raised about 1/4 higher than the fender. It looks like real CRAP. I do have an aftermarket hood, but I didn't have any trouble with it until the CAI install. I pushed down on the air tube and it is down as far as it can go. Any suggestions. Thanks.

You could open up the whole on the bottom so the tube itself, so it sits lower. That or shave an 1/2" or so off the bottom of the CAI tube as long as the filter will still attach. I don't recall if the tube is metal or plastic, so that might influence your decision on which might be a better alternative.

Thanks Wraith. I never even thought about doing that. It's plastic so it shouldn't be difficult. Now that I think about it the filter is hitting the plastic below it. Thanks.
