i've been wanting a new car for awhile and was pretty much dead set on an LT1 T/A or formula, but lately i've been seeing a grand sport vette around town and i think it would be pretty cool to make a camaro like one. i would like to get an LT1 z28 (can't afford an LS1) and put a slp ultra z hood and 98-up SS spoiler on it and paint it that blue color. i would then get a white stripe put on and i would also get black GS wheels 17x9.5 front & 17x11 rear. i would then add the finishing toughes w/ the red stripes on the driver side front wheel well. anyone think this would look good/bad? i personally think it would look pretty nice. heres a pic of a c5 i've seen around town that kinda gave me the idea. http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...63_42_full.jpg

I love that car! I came across that pic a while back. It's featured in the latest Popular Hotrodding mag (oct 03)

I like the idea, I was going to do it, but didn't want to do a color change because of the cost. I say go for it!

Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner! Either he did the conversion (which isn't that hard with the fixed roof coupe design like the Z06 - or he is fakin' it. Nice car either way.

 

It's hard to see from the angle shown, but this 67 Yenko clone was on ebay recently. It has the red GS fender stripes on the passenger side.
