Any exotic green color paints out there?
Any exotic green color paints out there?
I can get a killer deal on a repaint so i want to start looking into a color. My friend deals with House of Kolor paints and i spent the evening looking through and drooling but most of their paints are out of my pricerange. Right now the car is polo green but in tough shape. I would like to stay in some shad of green so i don't have to repaint all the other stuff. Any suggestions for a nice green color to paint my car?
I have a pretty cool looking color of green . I beileve it was only produced 1 year, correct me if im wrong. I have had my car for about 1 year and NEVER seen another camaro this color!...IT is a pretty sweet color 2...sorry i dont have a pic, but its metalic green, try auto trader or somethin or so a search , aight peace
I've always been partial to the 1968 Camaro color code ZZ "British Green" its slightly darker than Polo Green.
Here it is on a couple 1968 Z28s.

When looking at pictures, etc., take this thread into consideration...
There are a lot of wild Candy greens out there, I'd say your best bet is to go to your local AutoBody Supply store and look through their catalogs, that's what I have had to do everytime...
Just a note - Valspar makes some really nice products for a good price...

Does that british racing green have any metallic to it? That looks pretty nice.
I would definetly do a Kandy color except that would be a little over my price range. I could do a pearl though. There was a paint chip with a black base and green pearl and that looked pretty wild.

I've only seen 2 other BGM camaro's in person, and have owned mine for almost 4 years now. They did use the color on firebirds/TA's too... I saw a 98 on ebay once.
Here's 2 pics of mine in the sun:

94-3.4...... The black base with green pearl idea sounds absolutely AWESOME!!!!!

Actually, believe it or not, they used the color for 3 years. It's called "bright green metallic" and it started in 1997. There are no numbers out from 97 that I am aware of, however in 1998 there were 1,747 camaro's painted this color. Only 217 camaro's from the 1999 model year painted that color before the color was dropped. I think there's only a few of us that actually like it.

Yes the 1968 GM "British Green" is a metallic. (actually I think the correct name is "British Green Metallic".) It is darker than the Polo Green. (I've had cars with both colors.)
This is not to be confused with "British Racing Green" which is/was a factory Jaguar color. (Although it is a close approximation.)
Another nice "vintage" GM green color is the "Ralley Green" from 68-69. Much brighter, but it might be your cup of tea.
