01 Z28 with Factory grill.

I've read that this grill will just "pull out" from the front of the car. However, when I grab my grill and pull I see the nose facia sort of start to bulge. ???

Any help on removing the old grill would be greatly appreciated. I've got a factory replacement to go back in.

It literally pulls right out. First pop out the sides and then grab towards the center and give a few tugs downward and it will pop right out.

 

Do I need to remove the front license plate holder??? I.e. Is the license plate holder bolted on from behind the grill?

yes take the liscence plate bracket off, since it does attach to the car behind the grille........then when you go to take the grille off put one hand on the fascia...(bumper) and one on the grille and pull like a motha!, i just did mine 2 days ago.....pull the sides out first. then the bottom then the hard part is the top.....it will ciome dont worry.
