Another Berger Panel!

Yep, I love the look so I decided to go for it. Bought a deep purple tail panel from a member here and had at it. The panel had a few scratches so I used duplicolor filler primer, and some bondo quick putty stuff that was for plastic. I did not get it 100% but it looks good and I got the big crack out.

I followed with a few coats of duplicolor gloss black, which turned out not so glossy even though I wet-sanded numerous times. Turned out great though and I have decided not to clear coat it cause I like it as is. Going to take it off and fix the part that goes under the spoiler though to get a finger print out I left behind Then rear letter fill ins and perfection!

I was actually just thinking how a black berger panel would look on a car with stripes; I like it.

What's with the jack ?

Nice panel, are you sure clear coat won't help it? What about weather protection?

Wetsanding will dull the paint if you don't go back behind it and polish it. At any rate, wet sand it smooth and then hit it with clear. Go with a few coats of clear, wet sand that, then polish it and it will be nice and glossy.

I was adjusting the panhard bar when I took the pictures, the camera wasn't charged till then lol.

I will probably do a few coats of clear once I am done, going to redo the top part under the spoiler first, I am not happy with how that turned out.

you would only sand after the clear, than buff. Unless you are doing color sanding which you would sand before the clear also.
