First let me give you guys alittle backstory. My '96 vert was black with orange 30th aniv. stripes, and looked BADASS. Got nothing but compliments on it. My gf didn't like it, but its not her car.. plus I'll only have my SS for a couple years til the new Camaros come out anyway.

My plan for my SS now:

I can't decide what I want to do. Originally I was going to go with a silver ZL1 stripe (From the SS scoop back), silver SS emblem insets (With red on the outside) and silver Camaro letters on the back.

I've seen the same setup but with a red stripe, and it does look good.. but I'm not sure its for me.

Then the idea came to me, and I'm suprised I Didn't think of it sooner. Orange stripe, orange SS emblems (something I've never seen before) Orange Camaro lettering front and back, and orange/black SS emblems on the seats.

I've been messing around in Photoshop but I can't remember how to change colors, so its been going slowly to say the least. What do you guys think?

 

I say orange is a good idea, because I remember seeing you old car up at Carolian Auto Masters before the wreck and it looke GREAT. Black and silver are to common together

 

I swear, I thought you were going to type: "plus I'll probably have my SS a lot longer than I'll have my girlfriend." And that's the truth man... keep your car the way you want it.

 

Nope her airbags are bigger than the Camaros, I think I'm gonna keep her. She's only seen pics of my old one, so she never got to see it in person. The orange/black combo doesn't look good in pictures, they seem to never do it justice. I'm pretty much sold on it now.. especially since I haven't seen anything like it. Now I'm on the lookout for SS/RS emblems since its an SS with a body kit.

 

I think your theme you mentioned will look spectacular as long as the body kit isn't there. With the stripe and badge package and the body kit, it will be too busy. I love your vert pics because it was subtle. Just my opinion.

 

Thats true, but the problem is the body kit has been there for too long. I've entertained removing it, but the paint underneath has been rubbed raw on the panels. So to do that, I'd have to basically repaint the entire car. The body kit, like the stripes, don't look that great in pictures.. but its much subtler in person.
