Aluminum Fuel Door v.2
Hey Guys,
For those interested in one of these, a few of us have purchased them from John Jones on eBay (eBay id - xmurryx).
The total was $75.00 shipped.
If you would like to purchase one from him direct, he will sell them for $70 shipped since he will be saving the eBay fees. The $70 includes priority mail (2-3 days) with delivery confirmation.
He says he has a few left.
You can contact him at:
johnjones559@hotmail.com
He takes paypal, yahoo paydirect and money orders if you prefer.
I should be gettiing mine on Monday, but if you read through the thread a few people have already received theirs, and a few more have ordered via eBay.
By the way, these retail for $133 at the dealers...
Just thought I'd pass this info along!

I got it on today and will try to have some pics up tommorrow if I can.BTW, the kit also comes some nice emblems. A chrome V6 and diamond star and a "Mitsubishi" emblem. Don't know what I'm going to do with them. Maybe give them to my buddy at work who actually has one of these cars.

Thanks again to Bryan for starting this thread. I might even start washing my car regularly because of this.

This is how it gets held on:
From Scott Wojan's Install Page
Using 6 - 1" Washers
Holding the fuel door in place, put a mounting screw through it. Stick one of the washers, then the nut on the other side and tighten. You may need to have a ratchet hold the nut in place on the back side as you tighten the screw from the front. Repeat until all holes are screwed in.

i saw that, but then it was said that with a camaro you didn't need to do any cutting, so I'm trying to figure out if with my camaro I have to cut anything, or just drill out the rivets and screw this gas door on.

After I drilled those I just used 3M tape to secure the other side. However after Ernster re-read the original install page, it shows that the guy used washers behind each bolt to act as a crimp and pull the fuel door closer.
Which i'll be doing once I have some damn time.
