Alright to run 50w bulbs using stock fog light wiring?

Im looking at the wires running to the fog lights on my '96 and they look rather skimpy. Im wondering if I should run a relay and heavier gauge wire the new lights rather then use the existing wires. Awh, i really would like to use the existing wires. Would it be safe?

I used them on my Hella FF75s which are 55 watts. I made adapters to hook up the hella wiring to the stock harness. Works fine. I'm not sure they wouldn't be a bit brighter using the stock wiring just to trigger a relay but it works.

Did you have any trouble with blowing fuses?

No, I've never blown one.
