Talking Re: aftermarket taillights

The only "after market" taillights that I know of are Altezza's. If you are talking about "Export" tailights, like in my sig, they are no longer available. Maybe someone on this board can tell you where to purchase some if you are interested. You might want to try E-Bay also.

Re: aftermarket taillights

Personally, I tinted my altezzas. It made it more unique because you get the great smoked taillight look, but when it lights up it's entirely different than stock, so it makes it look a lot more custom...

side view of taillights
full view of taillights
night view of taillights

Granted, these are just the "Carbon Fiber Euro Taillights" off ebay that I used NightShades to tint the lense... you can do this to any style taillight and it'll kinda have that cool tinted look during the day, but at night will light up totally custom.

Re: aftermarket taillights

if you dont want to spend the rediculous amount of money for those aftermarket tail lights, I suggest something WAY more appealing that isnt even rice, yet a third the cost (atleast). Its under 90 shipped and install is EZ PZ! Trust me, not many cars at ALL will have something like this done to their car, and it stands out at night, during the day, braking, turning..parking Trust me..Im gonna do it when I get some extra spending cash..best part is...it still LOOKS good while being stock..and you'll have 50 compliments within your first week

I dont think that would look good on LS1 taillights.

Re: aftermarket taillights

"Lowest price garaunteed" what false advertising. Those prices are rediculously high. $300 for a hunk of plastic to go around a few bulbs... pathetic!

Re: aftermarket taillights

sorry, didnt notice you had an LS1...
As for those tail light options...
The only one REMOTELY decent is the 90% red one with the starshaped white reverse light...even those are fairly ricey..maybe without that gay looking star shape to the reverse part. I say convert to 93-97LT1 style if you can..dunno if that would work..but I dont like the LS1 tail lights at all
American muscle just wasnt designed for ricey aftermarket tail lights..only a FEW RARE acceptions in my book..and you'd have to literally deck out the entire car from wheels to paint in order to make any look half way decent...JMHO though..good luck man

Re: aftermarket taillights

A kid at my school has 97+ taillights with covers that are painted white (to match his car) and they have a chevy bowtie emblem cutout. I thought they were interesting as I have never seen them before.

Run a search. I've seen a cover that covers the whole 93-96 back-up light, except for a circle.
