Unhappy Aftermarket racing seats question!

For those that have aftermarket racing seats in your Camaros:

What type of seats are they? I need to know what are the lengths from bolt hole to bolt hole on your seats, and the widths from bolt hole to bolt hole on your seats. Just on the seats. I bought a set of DynamicAuto Design seats [and they're great].
foir 250 which is a good price.

Lastly, how much did you pay for your brackets and sliders [if they didn't come with the seats that is].

BTW, are all Camaro seat mounting locations the same?

Thanks,
-Luke

p.s. if u can recommend any bracket and slider sets to fit these DAD seats id be very thankful.

I am in the process of getting a pair of 3A Racing Buckets for my 96 Camaro.

I was told to use my oem brackets/sliders.

To make sure they work, measure the new seats mouting area vs your stockers. If they are close, you simply redrill your oem parts so that the new seat can be mounted to them.

Should be a pretty simply install. I too am new here, I hope this clears things up a bit for you.

I have Sparcos and used the stock sliders. The bolt holes on the bottom of the seat are equal width to the stock ones, but are closer together front to back. I simply re-drilled the holes. You WILL loose seat travel on the passenger side because the bolts will stop the seat, so make sure you have the necessary room by bolting the seat to give you the most reaward travel. Driver seat has full movement thanks to the tilt feature. If your seat has a different width for the bolt holes this is a moot point anyway because you will have to buy brakets.

we are using the DAD racing seats with the stock manual slider/bracket.. but the drivers side is motorized.. so we need to find a way to make the motorized side work or to buy a manual slider... get this called a dealership for my area and they wanted 300 for it (and yes i asked if they didnt mean the motorized one).. so i called a bone yard and they wanted 25 per slider which is ok with me.. any help is always appreciated

Mine is the manual slider, the power one won't work. You have to buy a power slider braket that goes with the seat, if the manufacturer doesn't make them then you have to keep the seat non-power.

thanks madkilla...
i went to the boneyard today and got a manual slider from a wrecked camaro (i was told the guy hit the jersey wall doing 80)..it has a tilt feature that the passenger side didnt have.. im wondering is there anyone who can give me some advice with this slider.. its alot different from the passenger side since it has a tilt bar and slider beneath it.. its the drivers side and im gonna see if it can bolt up but it looks like if we drill there wont be that much room to play with like the passenger side had... help anyone?
