aftermarket front bumper .. fitment issues?

Hello,

My front bumper has become cracked and generally ratty looking (Bra looks trashy too). I got a quote from a friend to get the bumper repainted for $200-300. My question is if aftermarket bumpers for 93-97 LT1 camaros have fitment issues usually? I ask this because I can get a new front bumper on ebay for around $70 primered and ready to paint.

Another question ... do you guys know of any kind of front blackout headlight covers that will extend all the way around the 'eyes' of the front of the car?

thanks!

200 to 300 isnt a bad price to get your bumper painted, as far as the aftermarket bumper, your taking a chance on buying one it could fit nice or fit badly, depends on how that batch was made, your better off buying a used oem bumper thats in good shape, or just repaint the one you have on now

If they are anywhere near the quality of the aftermarket fenders I got, then sent back, they're crap.

Don't buy the bumper off ebay...get it from www.autobodypartsonline.com

That's where I got my new aftermarket bumper cover and it fit great...and if it doesn't....you're buying from a company that will accept returns and give you another part if need be. I'd definitely go that route again if I had to. Oh...and it's probably almost as cheap as ebay too...

If you need a new bumper cover get a GM one. I bought a non GM last year and got burned on it. It fot ok, but I couldn't install my turn signals. I say, just paint over your factory one.

don't think that just because you get GM that it'll fit perfect. My aftermarket front cover fit perfect, but my GM hood needed a bit of work to fit. GO figure. Hey...if you want to save money...go with that link I posted...if it doesn't fit like you want...then send it back. They'll refund your money. And if it's anything like the front cover I got...it'll be perfect. Check out my pics and tell me that's not perfect!

I can vouch for them. I was skeptical about it...but when they said they would refund my money if I wasn't satisfied...I just went ahead and got em. That was only because I couldn't find what I wanted off ebay. As an afterthough...I'm really glad I didn't get them off ebay. Ebay's great when your buying some stuff...but I probably would have been a little nervous about spending THAT kind of money dealing with private sellers.

When I got mine...it was black...but that doesn't mean it's painted and cleared ready to be installed...it's just flat black. Of course, with me...it had to be painted no matter what...and ya know...I don't know if I would trust anyone else's prep work anyways...You never know what shortcuts were taken.

Hey, I have a gm factory BLACK rear cover from the Z28 I just used for my LT1 swap. The paint is is good condition, and the cover is good too. (No cracks) I am not going to be using this cover for anything, (or any of the body parts) so if you are interested shoot me an offer and it's yours. (Read--CHEAP!!) Can't help out on the front though since it is cracked and has a 2 inch tear, etc.
