I did search and couldn't find it, but I thought I read a thread saying that we could just splice in the aftermarket wires right there at the light and we could use the existing wiring from there to the switch and all will be ok. Is this correct or is my memory fading a little?

Yes, they are Pilot's. Not the same model as yours. But, your install guide answered my question. Thank you much.
