I have to get my hood replaced so I was gonna get a Fiberglass SS hood for it. I like the '98+ SS style better than the '93-97 style, problem is I can't find a company that makes the '98+ style hood for a '95 camaro.

Anyone know where I can find one?

 

Aren't the LT1 SS hoods the same as the LS1 SS hoods?

Just shaped differently at the bottom to accomodate the headlight configuration......but as far as the scoop goes, they're both the same.

 

No they are not the same, the LS1 scoop version is a little more rounded then the LT1 version

I have not seen a LS1 style scoop on an LT1 hood

The scoop is only half of it. The other part that makes the LS1 hood distinctive is the "ripple" on the sides that blends in with the contour of the headlights on the front edge. Unless you did a round headlight conversion, the front edge of the hood over the top of the stock square headlights would look a little "off".

 

I like the look of the 98 + SS style hoods also... The scoop isn't as bold and more subtle than the LT1 SS... I've searched but never have found one like it.

I like the '98+ version cause its more of a teardrop shape like the 78-81 z28 hood. The LT1 version is almost like a giant triangle and I don't like it nearly as much.
