97 ss

Bought this car almost a year ago and I'm not sure what to do with it.

It's 100% stock with 88k miles on.

I'm on the fence of whether to leave it original or mod it.

Opinions?

Welcome to the forum neighbor.
Are you trying to decide whether or not to tear apart a low mileage all stock car?

Exactly! I'm don't have the most knowledge on these vehicles, but I'm willing to learn more.

Leave it original. Buy a cheap Z if you want to mod. Clean, unmolested LT1 SS's are tough to find.

Re: 97 ss

I 2nd "pickardracing". Leave It Original. Modding is just a money pit which you will never get any of it back when you do decide to sale it. The car will no longer drive the same, and it will NEVER be fast enough. It looks good, so drive it and enjoy it. It's fun to go fast, but its NO FUN breaking parts, and the majority of the time you will be a law bidding citizen doing the speed limit.

Re: 97 ss

Thanks everyone for the input, I'll leave it then. Possibly buy different rims for it, only to preserve the ones it has now. They're starting to get a a blackened stain around the spokes.

@Brad I live in Southwest, MN near Marshall.
