I tried it. It doesnt work. You have to cut so much off its not even worth it.

Re: 97-02 triple gauge pod fitment in '95
my buddy put a triple pod on his Z and it looked good and all until you wanted to make a left turn, your hand wouldnt be able to get past the bottom gauge. he ended up grafting 2 diff pods together and painting them.

|
Just do what I did. I bought a dual a-pillar pod, then I mounted another dual pod (for a 94-98 Mustang) on the dash, and two more in that spot GM made to be a cassette holder...
|
I keep hearing about people who have done the 3 pod... I tried it and totally gave up cuz it was going to look really tacky and crappy. It just didnt look like it was going to fit after I cut a crap load off the 3 pod. Help us out. POST YOUR PICS!!!

Not sure if these will fit with no modifications but here ya go. Make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page.

If its too close to the steering wheel, consider a smaller diameter wheel..... or trade it in for a Firebird. :)

It's actually a dual pod and a single pod. The dual pod is about a quarter of an inch from the face of the vent and the single pod had to be trimmed down and a corner trimmed to match the curvature of the factory pillar. It looks really great when it's finished and it does not get in the way of anything. Hope this helps. :) |
AZ2ENVY I remember your car in GMHTP I've got every issue since 97. Had did you go about getting your car featured? That's my goal in 08 and after that I'm done. :) I like how you mounted your extinguisher as well. :D Does that obstruct your view any? Older pic of my interior w/ ext mounted on the back end of the console.
