is there any way to take the bulbs out of my head lamps to replace with better bulbs or is there a different headlamp on the market?

NP, glad I could help. Do a search on here for replacement bulbs to get an idea of what your options are. Some go with silverstars like in the write up; however, I went with NOKYA Arctic White Pro Halogen Bulb (9006) for around $20 and am pretty happy. You aren't ever going to get great lighting with the factory housings, but at least it's better than stock.
