94-97 camaro xenon lights
94-97 camaro xenon lights
I have looked everywhere for these lights for my camaro but i never found them until one day i went to a shop and they told me that to get the xenon white lights i would have to spend about 300-500 bucks to get a conversion kit is this true?
No it isn't true you can do it yourself it's what I did here are the steps
1) take out your stock housing
2) take a flat head screw driver and pop out the bulb from the housing
3) clean the glue off of the housing
4) take you bulb and line the plug up the same way the original one was (I think it points to the right)
(also you need to take the O-ring off of the bulb so it sits in the housing flush)
5) take it back out and put some high temp silicon around the bulb
and press it back into place
6) get a rubber band or some tape to wrap around the housing to hold the bulb in place while it dries
7) reinstall and that's it
I would suggest you get sylvania silver star bulbs they are gonna be the best looking, "cool blue" bulbs look cheap to me
Make sure you line up the bulb the same way the stocker was pointing or the beam will scatter this is about the hardest part of the whole install
took me 15 mins to do 2 low beam housings not including drying time
Hope that helps

Oh ok if you are looking for HID not xenon
I suggest you get this kit its only 399
it's the same size as the stock housings
so all you would have to do is switch them out
damn I can't belive I typed all that for nothing

There is a big difference between true HID and blue coated "hyperwhite" halogen bulbs. The blue halogens are junk and not worth it at all. I actually decided to go all out and actually retrofited a true Audi HID projector setup in my 97 Z28. Before this I had a basic plug and play 9006 HID retrofit kit mounted in my stock H4351 glass sealed beams. It gave the HID look but didnt perform anywhere near like a OEM HID headlight setup. Unfortunately my Audi HID projector setup wasnt cheap, but in my opinion well worth it. VERY unique and the light output is awesome. Specially with that crazy purple sharp cutoff that you see when passing BMW/Audi cars that have projectors.
