What would you like to see that is not currently available for our cars? I know HID will probably be the front runner for lighting of choice. But along those lines, will it fall into one of those listed in the poll. If not please elaborate within your reply.

Please stay on topic of what you would like to see in terms of features, ease of installation, etc. with this. If you have specifics regarding how any one particular conversion that is currently being used should be done, impressions, cost, or the like. Please feel free to use the search function or start another thread.

I'm not up on the technical names, but I'd like a standard replacement bulb with a PLASTIC face and plug-in style bulbs to go in it.

OR, I thought of something. A lot of people like the GTS headlight covers. Why don't they make a large light assembly that would be flush like the headlight covers and fill up the entire cavity with plug-in bulbs.

That's an interesting idea...

This was the direction I was heading when I said something comparable to the Breathless kit in the poll. Although using HID's or a projector rather than a LS1 type plug and play.

Thanks for the feedback

Stock with projectors behind the lense with a option to upgrade to hid (I'm going to start searching junkyards to build this soon)

I voted for 2 because I pictue something like that of the 360 modena headlights, then I saw 3 and thats kinda similar but without the cover over the lights. Is that the only difference between 2 and 3 or am I missing something. Also do you plan on making something like this? If so whats the price and most likely count me in.

#2 would actually be the one without the lens, #3 like the Breathless has a lens. The second might protrude or fit somewhat in the gap to an extent. The idea would be a plug and play into the existing wiring and simply bolt the "pod" in and aim the lights.

Where as number 3 would be a unit with a removable lens (in order to aim the lights) yet make that flush front end much like the headlight covers do.

I have been in the creative process (drawings) of doing some kind of true retro-fit, but to what extent I hadn't decided. Provided it was feasable to duplicate (time and cost) when I finished I would consider making and selling them. I am going to incorporate HID as a source and hopefully have all the features which includes autoleveling. At minimum it will feature a projector and cut off so there are no dead spots and light is focused as it should be like on OEM applications.

No time frame as to when I will actually get started with a working prototype as the car is on the bottom of the priority list. I am hoping to have something in use and pictures before April.

Are you allowing multiple votes on the poll?
If so - I will vote then for #2 and #4.

Why #2...
I would like to see it an option to have a "filler panel" of sorts for an aftermarket install. While the Hella 90mm are probably gonna be the choice for aftermarket lights - I would just say something for them to keep it simple. Although - I would like to see one that you could use with the FF75's. I know that it's not going to be possible to create a different panel for each and every different setup, but it would be nice to have something that at least made one of them more of a "standard" setup so that anyone could do it without screwing up really. This would also be great because it would hide the mountingand adjustment bolts of the 90mm, and/or just fill in the empty space around the headlight - making it look very clean.

Why #4...
I have only seen one aftermarket install that I thought (in an appearance only sense) looked better than stock, and that's the FF75's. The reason I think this is because they look extremely clean. I'm not to crazy about the Hella 90mm purely because they are round. To me, the rectangular/oval headlights just look better in the LT1 front end. So I think that #4 would actually be my one answer - but it would be combined with my thoughts in #2. Make something that APPEARS stock - but isn't. By appears stock, I don't mean using the stock overpriced housings and modifying them. I mean something that gives off a close to stock appearance (such as the FF75's) but houses a 90mm projector or something in it. This would be the same principle as any car that uses projectors factory. I have yet to see a car come off the floor that had projectors mounted on the outside. What it would take to do this, I have no clue. I haven't thought enough about it. But you could make it to where you could just "flawlessly" mount the 90mm into their "housing", and then flawlessly mount that whole assembly into it's place, and that's where your adjustment would come from.

The projector's are going to be the best option of light output probably that is possible for us - it can be used as a halogen, or as an HID unit.

That may be a collaboration of more than just option #2 and #4 - but that's just kind of my thoughts. I will keep thinking on it and see if I can add any better solutions or clean up these ideas some - if you would like me too.

I like the look of the LT1, and would be interested in something that retained that basic look. A reasonably priced plug and play design will always have more mass appeal.

Personally, I will probably be going with Hella FF75 as fog lights and see how far that gets me. The brights are fine, it's just the lows that seriously lack. With a set of nice higher wattage driving lights to compliment the lows, I think lighting would be just fine.

A plug and play bracket for changing the fog lights would be nice

I'd like a stock appearing headlight setup that is actually useful. Honestly, I cant see at night. I have headlight covers but there is no difference with them on or off so thats not the problem. My brights are NOT as good as my low beams w/ fog lights. I was going to switch over to the Hella FF75s but if an alternative can be made then I think it will be worth checking out. Something simple to install would be great. I find it completely odd that no one offers something for use 93-97 guys. Our headlights SUCK and anyone who manufactured something would get A LOT of business thats for sure. Please someone help us!

I don't care...just give me HIDs!

Actually, I would like to keep it as close to stock as possible.

Or easiest to install.
