Yes boys and girls, I don't know if I am the first one to do it? But I did it.

I bought a set of 9006 HID's to match my headlights.

In order to install them I had to take out the foglights and remove the bulbs. Once I was done doing that I needed to carefully dremel out the little notches from where the 885 foglight bulb was held in place. Make sure to shake all of the metal shavings out of the inside of the foglights and for best results I used an air compresser to do so.

Once I got all done with that, I used some strong sealant to seal the bulbs inside the housing, and put a thick layer of black silicone on the outside to seal them in more, as well as keep water from gettin anywhere near the bulb. It took a while to let them dry but there was plenty to do in the meantime.

I had to jack the car up, take the two shrouds and splash gaurd from underneith and find places to mount the HID balasts. This was suprisingly easy, because there was plenty of room to mount them on secure metal parts of the car. All that was needed to do this was some self tapping screws. Wow Easy and 4th Generation F-Body finally come together as one.

After that, wiring was simple. However my friend is an electronics specialist so I did not do much of this part. I do know that a relay needed to be used to get them up to full juice, and the stock foglight wires so far have been okay with generating the power. The kit was hard wired in because of not having the right adaptor from an 885 bulb to a 9006. They are ignited by the stock switch, and appear stock from the outside which was exactly what I wanted to achieve.

you did HID's in fog lights --- what about stock lights? must be insainly bright if you did both --- i have only done my low beams with HID's and will be doing regular bulbs for the high and the fog lights when i get around to it this summer

 

Ideally, you shouldn't be running HID in a Halogen housing.
