35/5w Nokya's 2 much 4 stock corners? & other corner bulb ?'s - P.T. enter please.

What is that you have Paul? Aren't they 35/5 Nokya's in an aftermarket clear? What have people gotten away with in the stock corners, and what have people melted the stock corners with?

I can get some lower wattage, but I need as bright as I can get...you will see pics tomorrow as of why...

Also - Paul, what are you using in your 194's and do they match ok?

And also #2 - what is the highest wattage 194 you have seen and what is safe in the stock housing?

Let's try this again today...
I am also about to order Raybrig 15w hyperwhite 194's, unless some one suggests otherwise.

I thank God for you P.T....
I actually found the 35/5w Nokya's from a link you supplied me with a long time ago...Supercarauto - here. I assume they are 35/5w because of the numbers that appear on the box. They may actually be lower wattage (the whole "out output ='s" thing), but I was under the impression that Nokya supplied actaul wattages.

So do you think that they would be too much for the stock corners?

Oh cool.. so you are going to use 1157's instead of 3157's ?

I think the wattage should be fine.

3157 = Square base...Mine have the round base.
Mine uses 2397's stock, and 1157 is a cross reference.

Apparently so...
The Sylvania website lists 2397 for both years, but if yours is square base, then I suppose it had to change. They show it changing in '96.

Actually - I decided against them.

Reason's being - I picked up some 27/7w's at a local store for the convenience to see how they would do (also hyperwhite, aka: highly tinted glass) - and they would barely shine through my housings (I got them blacked out you know...)

So I figured even with more wattage on the high side, the others wouldn't be much better - especially if I didn't keep them in DRL mode.

I would like to find a higher wattage clear bulb, but don't know who would make them. I am just using the 2397's now, and have a feeling that the 1157 may be a little higher wattage - got to find out.

Sorry though man - I backed out on ya.
