30th anniversary photoshoot

Yes, I posted these pictures in the lounge, but they probably really should have gone here...

Chris (30AnniversaryZ28) and I went out for a little photoshoot. The daylight pictures are near the Ashley River and the night pictures are on the top of a parking garage in the middle of the downtown area. Mine, of course, is the one with the Z06 wheels and the cowl induction hood. His is the stock-looking Z with the 383.

The photos come courtesy of my D40x, which I am still learning the finer points of.

Very nice. It is pretty cool seeing two 30th Anniv. editions next to each other.

As we were on our way to the first location a 35th anniversary SS pulled onto the interstate. We rode in a couple of formations before she pulled off at an exit.

At some point. I actually need to have the car re-repainted if I decide to keep it.

Man, I REALLY like that last one. How perfect was it that the sky was orange???

I really want to see you paint those wheels white someday. You shouldn't sell it. Sell the V6!

An orange one to match the stripes would be cool, too. Love the cowl hood and the chrome wheels.

The sky worked out beautifully for these pictures. It actually wasn't quite that orange, just a little white balance tweaking in the camera, but that's just how it came off of the camera. No photoshop work. I'm still thinking about the wheels being white, but that'll have to wait for now. And I doubt I'll be selling either one of them, no matter how bad a state either are in.

I've still got the bowtie and all the Z-28 badges sitting here on my computer desk. I've thought about orange, but I think the red would actually look better.

As for the hood and wheels, I hate to toot my own horn, but I think my 30th anniversary is one of the best looking ones out there. I haven't seen one that I like better yet.
