I've looked all over cardomain and the 97's were my conclusion. Am I right? How hard is it to change it to the newer dash if I got an older Camaro...say a 95-96? Better yet, I could put in the Firebird dash too. Did the dashes change any it the firebirds/Trans Am's? How much am I looking at to convert the dash?

 

well actually I put a 95 camaro dash into my 96 TA...u have to rewire the speedo and trunk...it isnt that bad...here is a link to the wiring http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/membe...=345879&page=3

there are prices there...I got my dash for 75 with airbags, dash cap and cetnter console...I paid another 50 for speedo...so I got off cheap and I sold my old 1 for 350.

Your right....'97 is the first year of the newer dash style. Not sure how much it would be to put one in a 93-96 though. Try http://www.tacreationsusa.com/ and http://store.yahoo.com/speedautomotive/ ....they might sell the new dashes
