Question 1in lowering springs???

I was wondering i've been doing some searching and due to my ground effects I'm only looking at a 1in. drop on my car....in the spring i'm putting on 18 Z06's and was wanting to know which spring actually has a 1in. drop from experieced people...b/c i've read where the some say 1in. but are actually more than that

also i want a lowering spring that's going to keep me off the bump stops all the time....is there any out there that that's possible in...i've heard little about the BMR's or Hotchkis, and the G2's everyone says is a good spring but lower it more than an actual inch

this is a daily driver and i want a good ride considering even after springs......meaning i dont' want to be bouncing on the bump stops all the time...so which SPRINGS would i best be suited for

thanks alot

Re: 1in lowering springs???

Get some SLP SS/Firehawk/WS6 springs. they are a ".75-"1.00 drop. I have them on my car, bought them off a guy with a WS6..

Re: 1in lowering springs???

thanks alot man i wasn't aware that the SS/firehawk springs were lower from the factory through slp.......so if i go to a junk yard tho to get these off an SS then you really can't be sure that that particular car had the option on it correct?

so therefore it would be better to just order them from slp?!?

how's your car ride....can you physically see a diff. from stock

Re: 1in lowering springs???

I am pretty sure that any SS/firehawk/WS6 has the springs. I got mine from an LS1 WS6 so I know all the LS1's have them. The only thing i'm not sure about is the LT1's.

Yes, my car sits lower. I have a couple of friends with z28's/TA's, and mine is lower than theirs. Also, some people say the v6 f-body springs are lower than z28's/TA's, but I dunno about that.

Re: 1in lowering springs???

yeah i know that the v6's are because of the difference in the weight of the motor...but you can't use those springs to lower the car like i'm wanting to.....it would be lower in the front and the back would still be up in the air
