From what I understand it doesn't fit exactly but it will go in.

Give it a shot.

I think it will work but will be noticeable as it will not be exact. Don't give it a shot until you get a definite answer but it should be possible

I've heard that there is a noticible gap in between the dash and console when you swap like that....I don't think it would be that bad though.

The 97+ Firebird console is almost exactly the same as the 95, plus a few extra cupholders. The dash gap is only in Camaros, the Firebird dashboard did not really change throughout 4th gen production, only the Maro. The console IS a direct bolt in, I swapped a 01 Ebony TA interior in my 94 Camaro and the only thing that needed modification was the door panel screw mounts. Oh, and the cigarette lighter didn't swap, but this might not be a problem for the Firebird, I cannot be sure. Well worth it for the cupholders alone.

thank you.

i knew the camaro dash is weird.

the bird dash is the same 95 vs 97.

I was just making sure the mounting was the same before i sell it, and have to modify his car to install it

I did a swap on my 94 camaro. There is a gap around where the carpet meets the dash around the front. You can get the one cig lighter to work if you go to a chevy dealership and order the 98 - 02 cig ligher wires. Then you just splice them with your old wires and your all set. If i remember correctly, the wires you order will come with the splicing thing. I believe the part # is 15305919 if the cig lighter has a 3 prong connector on it
