1995 Camaro Headlights

Okay one of my headlights went out, since I was going to replace one might as well change all of them. Well I went to Autozone and all they have were the stock replacement, can I just change the bulb with one of those hyperwhite ones? I want to upgrade to some brighter lights because I cant see crap at night. Does anyone know were I might be able to find some better than stock, and how much do they run for?

Ok well you cant change just the bulb cause they are sealed beams. Go with Hella lights. I cant think of the style number but they look sharp and you can change the bulbs in those I think they are like a p775 or p75 or something

Well, there are a few options out there depending on how deep your pockets are.

I just put in LUKS clears 65W and 100W bulbs in the stock lenses. Nothing to light the world up, but a much better improvement over stock bulbs.

Of course he can change just the bulb. All he needs to do is pry the old bulb out, replace it with his choice of 9006 bulb and seal it up.

I have probably every type of 9006 bulbs lying around my garage. IMO, Luks offer the best lighting for such little price.

Don't waste any money on the stock lights. Get some Hella FF75's. There are pics in the sig. The Hellas can be had for about $40 for a set of 2. You'll pay more for stock lights which aren't half as good as the Hella's. Plus the Hella's look sweet. There are pics in my sig.

If he wanted to do something like that, then he would... but he just wants to replace the lights. Let him get to that point one step at a time, yeesh.

As far as it goes, Cheloz, 9006 is the number bulb you want. Sylvania Silver Stars are a good light to use, I personally use those myself. In time, you'll be ready for upgrading the lights all together, but since you're just getting started with it, just go with some bulb replacements.

Sure he can do that but its not very wise. You will spend $20 a piece for silverstar bulbs that don't really make a difference, and you won't be satisfied with, when you can get Hella FF75's for $20 a piece. I ran silverstars and the light is a little whiter but thats it.

Ebay is the best place.

The last set says they are fog lights in the ad but they are actually driving lights, which is what you need for the head lights. I also suggest converting to Hella FF75 fog lights sometime. They are awesome.

You must've had lights where the housing was fogged or something, because my silverstars were dramatically brighter. That's just my experience, though. Personally, those hellas look too importish... the blue tint housing and all, makes me think of Lexus wannabe. Just my opinion, though.

Either tear up the stock housing to replace the bulb or buy a new set of aftermarket lights that perform and look great...tough decision.

I never got around to replacing my headlights, I forgot that it was my GF mom's birthday party...me like always forgot a gift. But anyways Z95m6, its funny because I have the your car on my dezktop here at work ....nice ride man. I think I might want to go with those hellaff75, they seem to be different from the rest.

Nope no fog in the lights when i used silverstars, just crappy stock lense's and reflectors were the problem. Adding a bigger bulb isn't gonna change that. The Hella lenses are completely clear and smooth, they direct the light with the reflector instead of the lense. Having a clear smooth lense helps get the light out where you need it. Importish? We won't even get into that , but the slimmer look seems a lot more aggressive to me. . The lenses aren't tinted either. I'm just running a hyperwhite bulb which happens to be tinted blue. The nice clear lense and reflector just reflect the color out giving them that blue tint.
