1969 Z/28 emblems?

I feel almost dumb asking this but i want to make sure before i spend 70 bucks..........I want to order the 1969 Z/28 style emblems for my fenders and the only place i have found them has been on ls1speed.com and in the describtion it says that they fit 98-02 but will it fit 93-97?? There should be no difference right?

As far as I know there is no difference. I don't think that part of the fender is any different between the years, so you should be good to go.

I think the point here is they aren't made for anything but a '69 but like everything else, they can be made to work. Note that if you get one for the rear it won't fit under the taillight. I had a different approach for mine. Pics on my site in the sig.

hmpm....i never though of putting it in the middle. I've been in contact with Brent about making somethign that will fit under the tail light.....still waiting to see what he says i know it wont be a 3d emblem but i think it'll be a nice thouch to have it there. What type of "modification" did you have to do to the emblems? What did you use to stick'em on there?

I broke off the posts with vice grips, bent the emblems to fit the shape of the car with them as well (with a towel for a buffer) and used 3M Emblem tape to put them on. The tape is gray so I used a black Sharpie on the area around the emblem where the tape might be visible later. On the front one I used metal epoxy to attach it to the billet grille.

I went through the same thing my self. You have to buzz the posts off the OEM emblem and re-contour (flatten) them to fit the different lines, and use the 3M side molding taped mentioned earlier. I get MANY comments on mine, especially on a black car compared to the invisible stock emblems.. Take a look at the pics in my sig for what I did for my car. Sometimes I like it and others I don't. I've seen the 70's vintage "Z28" used under the tail light as it doesn't have the "/" between the Z and 28 to get in the way. I actually like the "/" and is why I put mine where I did without cutting up a $35 emblem.
It's the Bowtie I'm not sure about either..... in conjunction with the Z/28 badge back there. Should it stay or go?

what do you guys think??

Check my sig for pics. I filled in the CAMARO leters and placed the rear emblem in the middle of the tail panel. I also put the 69 side emblems on the quarter panel with 3m after removing the posts. I attached another rear emblem to the front grill with 3m leaving the posts on. I can make you a flat black tail panel for $100 if you would like that will accept a rear 69 emblem and all letters filled in. I have an extra tail panel.
