19" rims, BMW question

I've read some minor rumblings about BMW rims.

I'm researching a set of 19"x 9" real BMW chrome rims meant for the 1995 and up 7 series vehicles. Will these fit?

I will find out the offset later.

Also, does anyone use 19" tires on a daily driven car?
If so let me know, If its a pain to drive, I'll settle for 18".

Thanks

Any responses would be appreciated.

The 3 series wheels are the ones with the correct offsets. The 5 and 7 series offsets would have the wheels sticking out of the fenderwells.

Here is my TA with the 19x9.5 HPRACING EVO wheels, 5x120 (BMW bolt pattern) with a 38mm offset. They fit perfectly, even with my 1.5" drop. I have no rubbing at all.

I don't drive mine every day, but with the way it handles and rides, I would not be afraid to daily drive it. I am running 275/30/19 Nitto 555's on all four corners too.

I don't have BMW rims on my car, but with that logic, are Corvette rims on anything other than a Corvette dumb too?

Well, it's a lot different since Corvette is a somewhat similar GM product but I see where you could make that point. It's just a lot different to put rims from a different company on another car. If someone put Toyota rims on their car, they'd be laughed out of town.

so if someone put some big honking Porsche brakes on their F-body (which there are adapters for) they should also get made fun of?

I think those wheels on that TA look AMAZING!! All the more power for doing it...

If it looks good, what difference does it make where it comes from?

And if your poor example of putting toyota wheels on another car, they'd be laughed out of town, I'd bet a bazillion dollars that it doesn't look ANYWHERE near as good as the above wheels do...

and also, you get on a kick of saying buying after market wheels

Arn't those HPRacing EVO wheels after market? Or am I confused?

Either way, I suppose your entiteld to your crappy opinion...

What the hell are you talking about? Who said anything about 19x9.5 HPRACING EVO wheels?

Oh, and if someone put porcshe brakes on, I still think it's kind of gay. Why not just buy brakes from one of the many aftermarket manufacturers? I just don't see the point in buying parts from another car manufacturer when there are SOOOO many other aftermarket options out there.

BMW and Camaro just don't go together. Why not put some BMW rims on a Geo Metro. Would that still be cool?

Depends if it looked good or not

But I doubt it would look good... So i would laugh at the car... but if it looked awsome, more power to him, I wouldn't care if he got them from a Maclearn F1

Its all about Functionality and Looks for me...

If its an improvement, or makes the car look better over all, why should it matter where it came from?

And while I havn't been looking into the Porsche breaks much myself, I will be when I look to upgrade... I would LOVE to have the research and track proven performance behind the Porsche breaks on my ride... And i'd be damn proud to display them too

But I think the C5 upgrade might win out... I have to check on prices for the Porsche setup... It might not make it worth while...

I think his gripe was using actual BMW factory style wheels on a Camaro. I was merely showing that the bolt pattern for a BMW works fine when I chimed in about my HPRACING wheels. Like he said above, he didn't say anything about my wheels. But if he doesn't like them, that's OK too. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
