18" Tires

im a poor kid with 18 inch rims for his camaro that make the car look sooo much better than with its stock wheels...well the tires i had are completely bald, not a trace of tread at all, they look like racing slicks, the wires r even showing on some of them...anybody got 18" tires they wanna sell? used, new, wrong size, w/e, i dont care as long as they fit on my rim safely and the car will roll haha. the rim is 8" wide, and i had 235/40/18's on there before so anything around that size will work. i know this is rediculous for 18" tires but price range b/t 100-200 bucks (im an extremely poor college kid haha)...nebody got anything???

i dont want to bolt the stock ones on cuz the stock ones r hubcaps and I HATE HUBCAPS...yea its a v6 unfortunetly but only because my school is a 100 mile commute everyday of the week and 500 miles a week in school alone and a 5.7L v8 are not a good mix!

A) Swallow your pride.
B) THINK! YOU MUST HAVE TIRES TO DRIVE YOUR CAR! There are only 4 parts of your entire car that touch the road while driving - the tires - I would say they are pretty important!
C) Put the stockers back on there (considering they have "good" tires on them.)
D) Save money - then go to Tirerack.com, pick up a set of Kumho's for ~$500, and be done for several thousand miles.
Option E) Go somewhere that sells used tires and try to score.

If looking good is more important than riding safely, you have some wacked out priorities.
Plus - if you get some used tires for $100-$200, you're gonna have them wore out in no time - and you could have just saved your money for a new set, but instead, your just gonna be in the same dillemma again - all because you hate hubcaps...

Heck - there are other options...

Or if you are really that hard up - I have an extra set of salad shooters with tires mounted I could probably get rid of - but shipping might be costly - I am in GA.

The guys on the corvette forums are selling 18" tires all the time. Check those out if you need cheap 18" tires. Otherwise I'd just wait until you have the cash, and throw your stock wheels back on. So what if they look like ***, at least you'll be safe.
