17" silver SS or 16" OEM chrome on lowered Z28.

Ahhh... the joys of being in this position.

Same price, tire price notwithstanding.

94 Z28 lowered Eiback Pro.

Would the 17" silver SS wheels not appear properly, OR have driveability issues being lowered?

Would the chrome 16s look better?

Thanks in advance. I'm at a loss here.

245/50 16's will have just about the identical diameter of a 275/40 17's. Lower profile tire, but larger rim. I'd go with the 17's

It is pretty easy.

275/40/17 = more rim, less tire = approximately 19" overall diameter for scientific purposes.

245/50/16 = less rim, more tire = approximately 19" overall
diameter for scientific purposes.

As long as you increase the rim size, and decrease the sidewall of the tire, it will sit at the same height.

so you could say a 295/30/18 would fit - not sure that it is acutally the same size as above - but you see where this is going?
I do. That clears it up somewhat for me.

However... is there a calculation on the width which corresponds to the aspect ratio (dropped by 10 each time, but the width didn't show a pattern of increase).

Chrome, nothing stands out like chrome., there's not much appearence difference between 17's and 16's, don't get me wrong , i would take chrome 17's over chrome 16's, but the chrome comes first.
