15" neon tubes under the car??
They are on sale for $10 ea so I was thinking of putting two of them on each side of the car to make it 30".
A friend of mine did this and has not had any problems, but I just wanna make sure it would be ok and those wires would be ok under there since they are not made for exterior applications.
I was thinking of just putting convoluted tubing on the wires if I had to.
Skip the ricer comments please

more than likely those are interior neons and will break under your car very easily I would suggest go ahead and shell out the 120 bucks max for a under car kit they usually waranty under car kits so if you break one they will replace it
Also look around your hometown for a ricer
shop they will have them cheaper than anywhere you can find on the internet

they will work....make sure u do a good job wiring it all up.....i have the under car kit on mine but a buddy wired it and it all came loose and now it hasnt been working for 4 months...ill prob end up fixing it next week
Yea my buddy did that on his granprix with some red ones from walmart since nobody seems to sell red undercar kits instores. Just a few tips though.
1) Buy some silicone and cover any cracks that you see.
2) Don't be cheap and buy enough wire to go all the way till about 2/3 inches from the bar, the cheap wire they use usually ends up melting from extended use. Also, dont wire them in parrell.
3) Use craftwire from a hobby store (real thin and barely noticable) not zipties to hold them up.
4) Most likely the rear will end up not looking right unless your car is lowered or has ground effects, both is definalty better.
That should cover most problems that you'll probaly have. In the end it will probaly turn out to be cheaper to just buy a kit and it will definatly look better.
Also 2 on each side and 1 in front will probally not end up looking right. We ended up using 2 15" in front and rear and then 2 15" and 1 10" on each side. At the price he had to pay here (10" were $10 and 15" were $15), This turned out to be more expensive than if he would have just bought a kit that would have look alot better.
Later
P.s. I also forgot to add that unless you run them into something they tend to not break as easily as most undercar kits except streetglow gold series.
. Probally due to thier lengh

A lot of places sell seperate tubes from the gold series...So you can buy the two sides (56") instead of th ehole kit...I would recommend getting hte streetglow gold series instead of anything else. I've tried a lot of brands and NONE seem to work as good as streetglow. Just ask around for the two side neons for a undercar kit...And use self tapping screws to hold them up, not zipyties or anything else. I used zipyties to hold the wiring to my car, but i used 1/2" self tapping screws to hold the neons on.
